Sometimes it comes in waves
And hits me out of nowhere like a hurricane
Feels like I’m going insane
I don’t wanna be a problem
But my self-control’s a losing game
When the venom’s in my veinsYa you know me
Continue reading
Makin friends with all my demons, never lonely
Self-destructive and I know it but it’s only
A matter of time before I’m out my mind
I wish that I could rewind
Here’s the video to go along with the previous post of my favorite lyrics from the song.
Feels like I wanna jump
Wanna scream, wanna run
Wanna fucking put a chainsaw through the wall
Feels like I’m livin’ in a world where everybody’s
All for none and none for allWhat a time to be alive
Such a waste of fucking timeOh, gimme something to take the edge off
Something to kick the night off
Something to keep my mind off
This so called life
Three Days Grace - So Called Life
Continue readingFor years, I have bemoaned the fact that radio has become a corporate wasteland. There just aren’t enough independent radio stations. I suppose it’s financial; probably costs a lot of money to operate. I’m not going to waste time dwelling on my opinion…
I was being a geek/nerd recently, and discovered a shell script (command line interface) that provided a menu to choose from a selection of lofi radio stations. I found this quite interesting and decided to dig deeper.
Continue readingLove this song on so many levels. It’s the way I approach almost everything these days.
This song is off of The Silver Scream 2, Welcome to Horrorwood. A great follow up to The Silver Scream. The songs are all based off of Horror Movies, and they do a great job with every one of them. This particular song is based off of the movie American Psycho.
All that I’ve been given, I give it to you (I give it to you)
I can’t stand here watching you fail to tell the truth (to tell the truth)
Somebody break these chains
Wrapped around this heart
I don’t want you leaving
I’m begging for mercy
Honey break these chains
Oh heaven help me now
Trade the shackle for a crown
And I’m on my way, way down
Shaman’s Harvest - In Chains
At first, I was unsure why this song speaks to me so much. I guess it’s the raw emotion in the singer’s voice that grabs me in and takes me for a ride. It’s one of those songs where everything fits just right. The line, “I can’t stand here watching you fail to tell the truth”, reached out, grabbed me and wouldn’t let go.
Shaman’s Harvest is a band I didn’t discover until around 2017. The song is from their 2014 album Smokin’ Hearts & Broken Guns. The album has several great songs on it, and I’m sure I’ll be featuring lyrics for Dangerous, in another post down the line. Oh, the album also features an awesome cover of Michael Jackon’s Dirty Diana. Their 2017 release Red Hands Black Deeds was my introduction, and it kicks ass. I was fortunate to see them live at Carolina Rebellion in 2018.
